Mishna:

אין צדין דגים מן הביברין ביום טוב ואין נותנין לפניהן מזונות אבל צדין חיה ועוף מן הביברין ביו"ט ונותנין לפניהם מזונות
רשב"ג אומר לא כל הביברין שוין
זה הכלל כל המחוסר צידה אסור ושאינו מחוסר צידה מותר

We may not catch fish from an enclosure {= a fish pond} on Yom Tov, nor may we place food before them. But we may catch wild animals and fowl from enclosures on Yom Tov, and place food before them.

Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel says: Not all enclosures are the same. This is the general rule: {Beitza 24a}
Anything which still lacks trapping is forbidden {to trap from it} and anything which does not lack trapping it permitted.

Gemara:

אמר רב יוסף אמר רב יהודה אמר שמואל הלכה כרשב"ג

Rav Yosef cited Rav Yehuda who cited Shmuel: The halacha is like Rabban Shimon ben Gamliel.

זה הכלל כל שמחוסר צידה אסור:
היכי דמי מחוסר צידה
א"ר יוסף א"ר יהודה אמר שמואל כגון דאמרי הבא מצודה ונצודנו

"This is the general rule: Anything which still lacks trapping is forbidden":
Lacking trapping, how so?
Rav Yosef cited Rav Yehuda who cited Shmuel: Such that they say, "bring a trap and we shall trap."

Mishna:

מצודות חיה ועופות ודגים שעשאן מעיו"ט לא יטול ביו"ט אלא א"כ יודע שניצודו מעיו"ט
מעשה בנכרי אחד שהביא דגים לפני רבן גמליאל ואמר מותרין הן אלא שאין רצוני לקבל ממנו

Traps for wild animals, fowl and fish which were set up on erev Yom Tov, one may not take {the captured animal} on Yom Tov unless he knows that they were captured before Yom Tov.
There was an incident with a non-Jew who brought fish before Rabban Gamliel, and he {=Rabban Gamliel} said: They are permitted, but it is not my wish to accept them from him.

ואיכא דמתנו לה אהא דתניא ספק מוכן רבן גמליאל מתיר ור' יהושע אוסר
אמר רב יהודה אמר שמואל הלכה כר' יהושע

Rav Yosef cited Rav Yehuda who cited Rav: The halacha is not like Rabban Gamliel.
And some learn {this statement of Shmuel} on that which we learnt {in a brayta}: If there is doubt whether it was prepared {muchan} - Rabban Gamliel permits and Rabbi Yehoshua forbids.
