וכל היכא דאיכא עידי מסירה לא בעינן עידי חתימה דבחד מינייהו סגיא
אלא מיהו הנ"מ בדיעבד א"נ דאישתכחי עידי מסירה פסולין דלא אמרי' עדיין אשת איש היא אלא הואיל ואיכא עידי חתימה והן כשרים והגט יוצא מתחת ידה גירושי מעליא אינון
אבל לכתחלה בעינן עידי מסירה והן העיקר שאין העדים חותמין על הגט אלא מפני תיקון העולם כדאמרינן דאי אביד גיטא קיימי עידי מסירה ואי מייתי עידי מסירה קיימי עידי חתימה.
וחזינן לגאון דאמר הוו ידעין דהאי דאר"א כתב סופר ועד הולד ממזר משום דהויא לה הא מילתא לר"א כמזוייף מתוכו שהולד ממזר. ואע"ג דהאי מילי דגאון סתרי למילי דידן חזינא למכתבינהו משום דמלאכת שמים היא:

And wherever there are witnesses to the delivery, we do not require signed witnesses, for with either of them it is sufficient. However, these words are after the fact, {? or alternatively ?} where witnesses to the delivery are found to be invalid, that we do not say that she is still a married woman. Rather, since there are signed witnesses and they are valid, and the get is under her control, this is valid divorce. However, ab initio, we require witnesses to the delivery, and they are primary, for witnesses only sign on the get because of the better order of the world, and as we have said, that if the get is lost, the witnesses to the delivery establish it, and if the witnesses to the delivery die, the signed witnesses establish it.
And we have seen a Gaon who said,

"Know that this which Rabbi Eleazer said, that the handwriting of the scribe and a witness, the child is a bastard, that it is because this matter was to Rabbi Eleazar like a forgery from within it, such that the child is a bastard."

And even though the words of the Gaon contradict our words, we have seen fit to write them, because it is the work of Heaven.

שנים ששלחו שני גיטין שוין ונתערבו נותן שניהן לזו ושניהן לזו לפיכך אם אבד אחד מהן הרי השני בטל.

חמשה שכתבו כלל בתוך הגט איש פלוני מגרש פלונית ופלוני לפלונית והעדים חתומים למטה כולן כשרין וינתן לכל אחת ואחת.
היה טופס לכל אחד ואחד והעדים למטה את שהעדים נקרין עמו כשר:

IF TWO MEN SENT [TO THEIR WIVES] TWO BILLS OF DIVORCE WITH THE SAME NAMES AND THEY BECAME MIXED UP [THE BEARER] MUST GIVE BOTH OF THEM TO EACH OF THE WOMEN. CONSEQUENTLY, IF ONE OF THEM WAS LOST THE OTHER BECOMES VOID.

IF FIVE MEN WROTE JOINTLY IN THE SAME DOCUMENT, SO-AND-SO DIVORCES SO-AND-SO AND SO-AND-SO SO-AND-SO, AND IF THE WITNESSES DULY SIGNED BELOW, ALL ARE VALID AND THE GET IS TO BE GIVEN TO EACH OF THE WOMEN.
IF THERE WAS THE FORMULA {THE TOFES} FOR EACH ONE AND THE WITNESSES SIGNED BELOW, THE ONE TO WHICH THE SIGNATURES ARE ATTACHED IS [ALONE] VALID.
