Rif Kiddushin 18a {43b - 44a}

18a

, they would be obligated to swear a shvuat heset. (* When they say, as well, we have paid it to the lender, they are obligated to swear a shvuat heset that they paid it to the lender. *) And we do not accept their testimony, for they are affected by their testimony.
[Therefore, where they say "we paid it to the lender" they are like the case where one who said to him "there is a maneh of mine in your possession," and the other says "there is nothing of yours in my possession," that he swears a shvuat heset and is exempt. Therefore, these agents should swear that they gave it to the lender and be exempt.]

And a lender who said "I was not paid," since the borrower is not able to say to him with certainty "I have paid it," for behold he does not know if these agents paid it to him or not, he is like the case of a shopkeeper {being trusted} upon his ledger. For when the homeowner says to the shopkeeper "give to my workers {goods} worth a selah of money, and he {=the shopkeeper} says "I have given it," and they say "we did not take," these workers swear that they did not take anything of their wages from the shopkeeper and take from the homeowner. For he {=the homeowner} does not know if the shopkeeper paid them or not. So too, the lender as well swears because of a decree, in the pattern of a Biblical oath, that these agents did not pay him, and then the borrower must pay the lender.

{Kiddushin 43b}
"A man can betroth {off} his daughter":
We learnt {in a Mishna} there, in perek haOmer hitkabel Get:
A betrothed naarah, she and her father can receive her get.
Rabbi Yehuda said: Two hands cannot acquire like one. Rather, only her father receives her get.
(* And whoever {woman} is not able to guard her get is not able to become divorced. *)
Resh Lakish said: Just as the dispute exists by divorce, so does the dispute exist by betrothal.
And Rabbi Yochanan said: The dispute is by divorce, but for betrothal, all say that her father and not she.
And we establish like Rabbi Yochanan.

{Kiddushin 44b}
Rava inquired of Rav Nachman: A naarah, can she appoint an agent to accept her get from the hand of her husband? Is it like the hand of her father,
