Rif Megillah 7a {Megillah 20a continues; 25b - 26a}

{Megillah 20a, Mishna, continues}

כל היום כשר לקרות את המגילה לקרות את ההלל לתקיעת שופר ולנטילת לולב ולתפלת המוספין ולמוספין ולוידוי הפרים ולוידוי מעשר ולוידוי יום הכפורים לסמיכה. לשחיטה. לתנופה. להגשה [לקמיצה] להקטרה למליקה. ולקבלה. ולהזיה. ולהשקאת סוטה. ולעריפת עגלה. ולטהר את המצורע.
כל הלילה כשר לקצור את העומר ולספירת העומר והקטר חלבים ואברים זה הכלל דבר שמצותו ביום כשר כל היום וכל דבר שמצותו בלילה כשר כל הלילה:

The entire day is valid for reading the megillah, for reading Hallel, for blowing the shofar, for taking of the lulav, for the Mussaf prayer, for a mussaf offering, for the confession on the bulls {sacrifice}, for the confession on {bringing} Maaser {sheni}, for the confession of {the kohen gadol on} Yom Kippur, for leaning {on the sacrificial animal}, for slaughtering {of the sacrifice}, for waving, for bringing close {to the alter}, for taking the handful of flour, for burning {of incense}, for slaughter {of birds}, for receiving {the blood of the sacrifice}, for sprinkling, for the giving a Sotah to drink, for the breaking of the neck of the calf, and to purify the leper.
The entire night is valid for harvesting the sheaves for the Omer, for the counting of the Omer, the burning of the fasts and limbs.
This is the general rule: Whatever its commandment is {to do it} in the day is valid the entire day and whatever its commandment is in the night is valid the entire night.

PEREK FOUR BEGINS

Mishna:
בני העיר שמכרו רחובה של עיר לוקחין בדמיו בהכ"נ
בהכ"נ לוקחין תיבה תיבה לוקחין מטפחות
מטפחות לוקחין ספרים ספרים לוקחין תורה אבל אם מכרו תורה לא יקחו ספרים ספרים לא יקחו מטפחות מטפחות לא יקחו תיבה תיבה לא יקחו בהכ"נ בהכ"נ לא יקחו את הרחוב וכן במותריהן:
If the residents of a city sold a city street, they may buy a synagogue with its money.
{If they sold} a synagogue, they may buy an ark {took keep the sefer Torah in}.
An ark, they may buy wrappers {for the sifrei Torah}.
Wrappers, they may buy sefarim {Rashi: scrolls of Neviim and Ketuvim}.
Seforim, they may buy a Torah.

However, if they sold a Torah, the may not buy sefarim {of Neviim and Ketuvim}; sefarim, they may not buy wrappers; wrappers, they may not buy an ark; an ark, they may not buy a synagogue; a synagogue, they may not buy the street; and so too with the money left over {after making such a purchase}.
