{Bava Kamma 18b}

תאני רמי בר יחזקאל תרנגול שהושיט ראשו לאויר כלי זכוכית ותקע בו ושיברה משלם נזק שלם
והוא דהוו ביה ביזרוני אבל לא הוו ביה ביזרוני משונה הוא וחצי נזק הוא דמשלם:
אמר רב יוסף אמרי בי רב סוס שצנף וחמור שנער ושבר את הכלים משלם חצי נזק:

Rami bar Yechezkel taught: A rooster which stuck its head inside a glass vessel and crowed in it, thus breaking it -- he pays full damages.

And this was where there were seeds there {in the vessel}, but if there were no seeds, it is uncommon, and he pays half-damages.

Rav Yosef said: They said in the academy of Rav: A horse which neighed or a donkey which brayed, and broke vessels, he pays half-damages.

(בעי רבא [חצי נזק] צרורות מגופו משלם או מן העלייה משלם
מגופו משלם דלא אשכחן חצי נזק דמשלם מן העלייה
או דילמא מן העלייה משלם דלא אשכחן כי אורחא דמשלם מגופו:
בעי רבה יש העדאה לצרורות או אין העדאה לצרורות לקרן מדמינן ליה או דלמא תולדה דרגל היא).א

Rava inquired: [Half-damages of] pebbles, does he pay from its body {of the animal, as by tam}, or from the best of the estate {like regel}?
Does he pay from its bidy, for we do not find half-damages which pay from the best of the estate? Or perhaps from the best of the estate, for we do not find where it was done habitually that he pays from its body?

Rabba {our gemara: Rava} inquired: Is there warning {and thus muad} for pebbles, or is there no warning for pebbles? That is, do we compare it to Horn, or perhaps is it a derivative category of Foot?
